The most common body types

Triangle (or Pear) Body Shape
This body type typically has narrow shoulders, a well-defined waist, and wider hips. For this figure, it’s important that the top and bottom of the bikini coordinate well and look balanced.
The top of these bikinis should be bandeau style (strapless). This type of bikini will draw attention to the upper body, making the lower body appear less prominent. However, make sure the bikini bottoms are simple, without embellishments or shapes that make them look too busy.
Inverted Triangle Body Shape

Unlike the previous silhouette (triangle/pear), this one is characterized by narrow hips and broader shoulders. Generally, these are bodies with a smaller bust and developed, athletic shoulders.
For this body type, the best bikinis are those with a triangular cut, as they enhance the bust. Conversely, for the bottom, look for bikini bottoms that add volume. They can have ruffles, fringe, a wider band, etc.
Rectangle silhouette

A straight figure, with few curves, makes it key to choose a swimsuit that defines the waist and adds volume to both the top and bottom.
For this body type, trikinis are a perfect option, and if they also feature a knot, ruffle, bow, or similar detail, even better. These details will add that extra volume needed to create a more curvy silhouette.
Apple (or round) silhouette

This body type is characterized by having marked curves, generous hips and bust. For this type of figure, what looks best is a neckline that enhances the bust and high-waisted panties that stylize the figure and define the waist.
Hourglass Body Type

Aligned shoulders and hips and a slim, well-defined waist. This silhouette is often considered the most balanced and therefore suits almost any type of swimsuit or bikini. You can confidently rock any trend, from crop tops and neon colors to Brazilian briefs, bold prints or more classic cuts.
